Thank you Amedisys for all your help

Dear Editor: I have multiple sclerosis, which was diagnosed in 1997. I have consistently been in physical therapy since 2003, when I first began to lose my ability to walk. One therapist told me, 'You know you will never walk again.' This was not the attitude exhibited by Eric Estes of Amedisys Home Health of Tuscaloosa. After his first visit he said to me, 'I don't know how much I can help you, but I will do my best to get you where you can go.' Eric has been true to that promise. He has made every appointment for therapy (missing only when I have been unable to participate.) He sets goals for my treatment and he explains to me what he expects to happen. He is very understanding of my disability and displays great patience when I can't perform the tasks he expects. Most importantly, he calls before each visit to let us know when he will arrive.

For the first time since 2003, I am beginning to stand. I am very pleased with my progress and felt it appropriate to let you know how much I appreciate Amedisys and the staff members they have sent to work with me.

Thanks so very much for everything they do. Best wishes for Amedisys' continued success in bringing hope and healing to those it serves.
